Since its gradual roll-out, the 100 % Health scheme has profoundly transformed access to care in France. Its objective remains unchanged: to reduce, or even eliminate, policyholders’ out-of-pocket costs on essential areas of care, while guaranteeing quality benefits.
In 2026, this scheme continues to evolve in order to further improve the policyholder experience and simplify the management of group contracts for companies. MIA Assurances helps you understand these developments and their concrete impacts

A reminder: what is 100 % Health?

100 % Health allows policyholders to benefit from fully reimbursed equipment, with no out-of-pocket cost, in three long-standing areas:

  • Optical (glasses)
  • Dental (prostheses)
  • Audiology (hearing aids)

Provided they choose equipment belonging to the packages defined by the regulations, employees no longer have any upfront costs to bear.

What is changing in 2026: extension of the care package

In 2026, the developments are part of an optimisation approach, with the integration of two major advances into responsible contracts:

  • Wheelchairs (VPH): enhanced cover Since 1 December 2025, the cover of Vehicles for People with Disabilities (VPH) has been improved.
Key change: For a short-term rental (less than 6 months), policyholders now benefit from full cover (no out-of-pocket cost), within the limit of the regulated prices.
  • Hair prostheses and accessories: better reimbursement Since 1 January 2026, a new classification enhances reimbursements, in particular for Class II (prostheses containing at least 30 % natural hair or high-end fibres).
Key change: Class II prostheses now benefit from full cover (with no out-of-pocket cost), within the limit of the Maximum Sale Price (PLV).

A smoother and automatic care experience

The adjustments put in place aim to reduce administrative barriers, with fewer upfront costs for employees and stronger coordination between healthcare players.

Good news for companies and their employees: no action is required. The developments linked to 100 % Health apply automatically, whatever the age of the group contract. The guarantees are already in effect, with no change to request.

A gradual update of the documents

The contractual documents will be updated transparently:

  • For recent contracts: an amendment will be sent.
  • For older contracts: an update at the next renewal notice.

Key point: even if the paper document has not yet been updated, the new terms (VPH and hair prostheses) are already applicable.

Regulatory compliance under control with MIA Assurances

In a constantly changing regulatory environment, MIA Assurances ensures that group contracts remain compliant with the requirements in force. Employers do not have to handle technical or legal changes, thereby securing their social protection schemes.

In summary

  • Extension of the guarantees: Better cover of wheelchairs and full reimbursement of Class II wigs.
  • Immediate effect: The changes are already operational.
  • No formalities: No action required on the part of the company.
  • Simplified experience: Your employees can contact their administration centre right now for their reimbursements.
