You work in a payroll firm or an HR department, and each month you declare your employees’ payroll items in order to send the information to the group health insurance, death and disability, and pension bodies. The Nominative Social Declaration (Déclaration Sociale Nominative, DSN) is intended to simplify these exchanges, but rigorous configuration remains essential: a single incorrect piece of data can lead to anomalies, or even a reassessment. Here are the best practices to know in 2026.

The configuration sheet: an essential document

The configuration sheet (also known as the FPOC, Fiche de Paramétrage des Organismes Complémentaires) is provided each year by your insurer (health and/or death and disability). It must be completed scrupulously so that the DSN transmits the right information.

This document is made available on your net-entreprises.fr account, in the “Additional services” section and then “Supplementary organisations”. Download it each year in .xml or .pdf format to import it into your payroll software. Automatic import of the .xml file is preferable: manual entry from the .pdf increases the risk of error.

The NEODeS standard: the technical basis of the DSN

The DSN is based on an exchange standard called NEODeS (Norme d’Échanges Optimisée des Données Sociales). This standard structures all the payroll items needed by social protection bodies to collect contributions and provide employees’ entitlements: individual, contract, pay, contribution bases and amounts. For 2026, version NEODeS 2026.1 (P26V01) applies.

First reflex: check that your payroll software is up to date with this standard and with the latest regulatory changes (contribution rates, reference tables, net social amount, general reduction).

The items to check for a trouble-free DSN

For your declaration to run smoothly, systematically check the following points:

  • file your DSN before the 5th or the 15th of the month, depending on your headcount;
  • have sent your insurer a signed SEPA direct debit mandate together with a bank details form (RIB);
  • enter the Option code provided in the configuration sheet;
  • indicate the up-to-date contribution rates and the monthly social security ceiling (3,925 € in 2026);
  • remember to declare your compulsory top-up supplementary contracts;
  • check your submission file and any notifications each month.

Tip: the business feedback reports (comptes rendus métiers, CRM) offer immediate visibility on the compliance of your declarations, which means anomalies can be detected and corrected quickly without waiting for an audit. Activate alerts on net-entreprises to be informed when new configuration sheets are made available.

DSN developments to anticipate in 2026

The year 2026 marks an important milestone. The drive to centralise collection continues, with the aim of making URSSAF and the MSA the single points of collection for contributions. The concrete consequence: the allocation of certain agreement-based contributions (vocational training, social dialogue) is now driven by the IDCC, the identifier of your collective bargaining agreement, entered in the establishment and contract blocks. Check whether your sector is concerned in order to configure your items correctly. To identify your IDCC, see our article on the National Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Also note: the TOPAZE service for retrieving withholding tax rates has been closed since the start of 2026; you must now use the initialisation notification (signalement d’amorçage) in the DSN to obtain a personalised rate.

A few tips to avoid anomalies

Remember to keep all your data up to date on net-entreprises, to check that your SIRET is correctly entered (it is essential for the proper routing of data) and to formalise a genuine workflow for processing the CRM. The bodies’ tolerance for errors is decreasing: a single incorrect piece of data can have knock-on consequences, from miscalculated entitlements for the employee to penalties for the company. The DSN is no longer just a file to submit at the end of the month, but a process to be managed continuously.
